CNI Grant Management

PROPOSALS
CNI grant managers are experts at proposal submission and have submitted hundreds of applications through NSF, DARPA, DOE, NASA, NIH and other agencies. Activities include:

  • Reviewing RFP to determine necessary elements of proposal

  • Building budget workbooks

  • Assembling proposal elements and uploading budget and documents

  • Error checking and coordination of final submittal with SPA

GRANT MANAGEMENT
After a project is awarded, your CNI grant management team performs the following:

  • Setting up the project

  • Meeting with PIs to discuss availability of funds and student allocations

  • Ensuring that subaward spending is consistent with project budget

  • Ensuring that all spending and cost transfers are approved by PI and adhere to principals of Uniform Guidance

ACCOUNT RECONCILIATION AND REPORTING
CNI grant managers also provide reconciliation and reporting support, including:

  • Providing financial reports to each PI utilizing data from Columbia's financial system

  • Preparing financial reports to sponsors

  • Recordkeeping and responding to audits
