Professor Gil Zussman Invested as Member of AASL

Professor Gil Zussman

The Columbia Nano Initiative is pleased to share that CNI Faculty Member Gil Zussman, Kenneth Brayer Professor and Chair of Electrical Engineering at Columbia University, was recently invested as an Academy Member of the American Academy of Sciences and Letters (AASL).

The AASL hosted its 2025 Investiture Ceremony in Washington, D.C. on November 12th, during which President of AASL, Dr. Donald Landry, remarked that, “Members of the American Academy of Sciences and Letters are scholars who have made extraordinary contributions in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, mathematics, engineering, the arts, and the learned professions.”

Professor Zussman’s research interests are in the area of networking, with a particular focus on wireless, mobile, and resilient networks. He is now prominently featured as an “Academy Member” on the AASL website.

CNI congratulates Professor Zussman on this recognition and is proud to support his research.
